Description
ᎬᏅᎢ ᎤᏫᏌ is a reminder of the care and foresight that our ancestors had for us. While enduring the Trail of Tears, "She Sowed Life" ensured the survival of our people while she walked through hell. ᎬᏅᎢ ᎤᏫᏌ carried the White Eagle Dent Corn as she would a child, knowing future generations depended on her. The corn on her back represents the burden she placed on herself. His face as she looks upon her basket of corn conveys the maternal love it took to endure such a journey.
