Learn the traditional methods of basket weaving with expert guidance from Cherokee National Treasure Anna Sixkiller. All materials needed for this experience will be provided. Anna Sixkiller had the National Treasure honor bestowed upon her in 1991 for her passion and skill in traditional basketry. She has dedicated her life to sharing her basket weaving methods with others, ensuring that the culturally vital Cherokee tradition continues.
Classes fill up quickly and will be capped at 20 people, so be sure to reserve your spot today!
No reservations will be taken after 4:00 PM (CDT) the day before the class.
Cancellations must be given no later than 24 hours before the class.
Class to be held at the Saline Courthouse Museum at 55870 S. 490 Rd in Rose, OK from 10AM - 2PM.
You are encouraged to bring your own snacks/lunch.
Participant age restricted to 16+.
