Learn how to create a double wall basket with expert guidance from Cherokee National Treasure Lena Stick. All materials needed for this experience will be provided. Lena was honored as a Cherokee National Treasure in 2022 for her skills in basketry. With a passion for basket weaving and the preservation of Cherokee culture, Lena enjoys passing her knowledge and skills on to all who are interested and willing to learn.
Classes fill up quickly and will be capped at 15 people, so be sure to reserve your spot today! Only 12 spots currently available.
No reservations will be taken after 4:00 PM (CDT) the day before the class.
Cancellations must be given no later than 24 hours before the class.
Class to be held at the Cherokee Nation Anna Mitchell Cultural and Welcome Center at 953 E. Illinois Ave. in Vinita, OK from 10AM - 3PM.
You are encouraged to bring your own snacks/lunch.
Participant age restricted to 16+.
