Learn the basics of flat-reed mat weaving through guided instruction from Cherokee Nation citizen Amaiya Bearpaw. This immersive class offers a hands-on opportunity to connect with Cherokee cultural traditions. All needed materials will be provided.

No reservations will be taken after 4 p.m. CDT the day before the class.
Cancellations must be given no later than 24 hours before the class.
Class will be held at the Cherokee National Prison Museum at 124 E. Choctaw St., Tahlequah, Oklahoma, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks or lunch.
Participants must be at least 16+.
About the Instructor: Amaiya Bearpaw is a Cherokee Nation citizen and talented flat-reed weaver who enjoys sharing her knowledge through hands-on instruction, helping preserve and pass on Cherokee cultural practices to future generations.
