Description
Birds are thought of as messengers, and the members of the Bird Can take special care to look after these beautiful animals. The Cherokee syllabary on the lid spells out “go-ga” or crow, and the base spells out “a-ni-do-hi” or messenger. The sculpted crow on the lid looks down as though he is reading and understanding the message and ready to leap off the jar and fly off into the clouds to deliver his message to the heavens. Hand-built clay pottery with hand-carved designs and a hand-sculpted crow topper, glazed interior.

About the Artist
After traveling the United States and Europe, Robin returned to her Cherokee home of Oklahoma. She finds that her art gives her quiet nature a voice and strengthens her connection to her Cherokee heritage. After discovering journaling, she refocused and started a renewed exploration of her art in a more meaningful way. Creating art on the small page has caused a metamorphosis of her style and technique. Robin has since exhibited at numerous Native American art shows and has won several awards.
