Description
Traditional double-woven rivercane basket with natural and black walnut dyed splints. The diagonal weave is the most challenging of basketweaving techniques and is emblematic of Cherokee culture.All weaving and dye materials were processed by the artist. The patterns woven on the outer wall of the basket include a ribbon band pattern.
