Description
This hand-fabricated copper necklace and earring set was created using a traditional cold hammer technique. The process requires rhythm, control, and deep familiarity with the metal — qualities passed down through generations of Cherokee coppersmiths in our family. The design features a cascading arrangement of vertical copper bars, hammered to create a woven, crosshatch-like texture. The composition is architectural yet organic, evoking strength, movement, and resilience. The earrings echo the textural elements, offering balance and unity. As a second-generation coppersmith, I draw on the knowledge taught to me by my father and the teachings of our Cherokee mentors.
