About the Artist
Carol Wyatt has dedicated 28 years to working with the Cherokee Nation and its businesses, combining her professional career with her passion for basketweaving and cultural preservation. For over 14 years, Carol has been sharing her love for basketweaving with her grandchildren, co-workers and anyone eager to learn.
Her mantra is: "It's CREATIVE, it's CULTURAL, and it's THERAPY!" A proud Cherokee with ancestral ties to her grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Pathkiller (also known as Lizzie Hubbard from Proctor, Oklahoma), who was listed on the official Dawes Commission Roll, Carol honors her heritage through her craft. She names her work “Pathkiller Creations” in tribute to her grandmother’s legacy.
