About the Artist
Diana L Stanfill, a Native of Oklahoma, lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She received her Associate of Arts from Rogers State College (now Rogers State University) in Claremore, Oklahoma. Her preferred art form is pastels. Mainly working in realism, she has detailed and impressive skills in human and animal portraiture.
She was discovered by her family at an early age to be blessed with a God-given talent and able to transform the visual perspective of the human form into a beautiful art form. With the encouragement of friends and family, she has displayed her works of art in many venues. In 2016, she was honored with placing Best of Category, Graphics, in the 45th Annual Trail of Tears Art Show at the Cherokee Heritage Center. With her Wes Studi portraiture. Diana states, "I love working in pastels because I can use my hands and fingers to blend and soften the natural curves of nature. This makes me feel a part of every piece of artwork I create." Her Cherokee heritage has inspired many of her works of art.
This year, she has challenged herself by looking at Oklahoma wildlife and the beauty of natural landscaping.
