About the Artist
Stephanie Pinkston is an artist and citizen of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma. Originally from Fairfax, Oklahoma, she draws inspiration from her Osage heritage, incorporating its influence into her work. She enjoys working in various mediums, including oil paint, oil pastel, charcoal, and contemporary basket weaving. Over the years, Stephanie has been fortunate to receive recognition for her oil paintings and basket weaving, but her focus remains on growth and exploration as an artist. She values the process of creating and the opportunity to share her culture through her work. Now living in Broken Arrow with her husband and daughter, Stephanie continues to learn, create, and find new ways to express the stories and traditions that shape her.
