Uktena is a powerful horned serpent from Cherokee legend. Uktena is also a master of disguise. I wanted to show the Uktena in a striking way, even though it can blend in. To be near this mythical creature, and once you notice it is there, it is too late to react or escape.

About the Artist
I am a Cherokee Nation citizen and local artist. In addition to my full-time career as a Radiologic technologist and being a mother of four, my art serves as an outlet for expressing my individuality. Initially, I worked with acrylics, but since 2019, I have developed a strong affinity for digital art, which allows me to create on the go, accommodating my busy lifestyle. Through this medium, I have evolved my artistic style, generating vibrant and extraordinary pieces that convey a narrative without revealing the full story. Ultimately, my art embodies the unbridled nature of my mind.
