The mirror incorporates a southwest Pueblo design (Kiva steps). Attached to the mirror are two actually used arrows that are used specifically for the cornstalk shoot. A stack of cornstalks are attached. The cornstalks are fashioned like those in the typical cornstalk shoot. Two Indian Head nickels (replicas) are attached. These nickels are included in the piece to distinguish the piece as representing traditional Native American cornstalk shoots (non-Native Americans are starting to have cornstalk shoots also).
