I was told a story by a first language Cherokee speaker that started English school. He didn't understand anything that was being said in the class. They took the kids to the library and he found a book with a rabbit wearing clothes. He thought it was really funny so he took the book home to show his parents and they found it funny as well, rabbits don't wear clothes.
So with that I decided to make a rabbit covered in Cherokee themed tattoos. The piece contains various Cherokee words as well as traditional symbols and markings.
