Being a graduate of Northeastern State University, I have always been intrigued by Seminary Hall where I attended classes. The fact that the Cherokee Nation provided advanced education for Cherokee women always gave me a sense of pride to be a citizen of the nation. I have often pictured in my mind the small village of Tahlequah in the late 1800s with that beautiful white clock tower visible for all to see as the residents go about their daily lives. This painting is how I imagined it!
