Description
This three-dimensional piece is a mockup for a larger installation. The installation can range between seven and ten feet in dimension. The mockup includes the arbor configuration that has been utilized in Indigenous communities for time immemorial. I have utilized the arbor for shelter, worship, ceremony, cooking and teaching. This piece tells of the continuous use of the structure in Native communities today.
Materials
Elm branches, paper, ink, etching, serigraph, LED light, artificial sinew, and poplar wood base.
