Description
The candy roaster squash has been a favorite of the Cherokee since the 1800s. The table was carved from a single piece of pear wood. A red tint was created from organic material and used as a base before applying acrylic. The candy roaster squash was carved from cedar wood and hand-rubbed with acrylics. The bowl was carved from a gourd, and a hand-formed copper ring was attached for the base. Glue was used as a fixative to stabilize the collection.
