Flatreed basket (gathering basket-style) featuring a Josephine knot with the stakes forming the basket, using 3/16 commercial space-dyed flatreed called Northern Lights on the beginning and bottom and sides of basket, filled in on the sides with purple and country blue #2 commercial round reed and 3/16 turquoise flatreed. Next is 4 rows of seagrass for enhancement and natural color.

About the Artist
Carol Wyatt has dedicated 28 years to working with the Cherokee Nation and its businesses, combining her professional career with her passion for basketweaving and cultural preservation. Carol shares her love for basketweaving with her grandchildren, co-workers, and anyone eager to learn. Her mantra is: "It's CREATIVE, it's CULTURAL, and it's THERAPY!" Carol is a proud Cherokee with ancestral ties to her grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Pathkiller Hubbard from Proctor, OK. She names her work “Pathkiller Creations” in tribute to her grandmother’s legacy. She remains committed to her craft and continues to inspire others through her teachings.
